Stations of the Cross

A large congregation gathered in Tuamgraney on Good Friday for the Stations of the Cross in Raheen Wood and the weather this year was particularly suited to such an outdoor event. Parishioners of all ages – from babies to senior citizens – as well as several visitors from neighbouring parishes, took part in the stations which were very ably led by Damian Heaney and Philip Moreau. There was a wonderful sense of community spirit in evidence and a ‘coming together’ – albeit for just a short time - of people who wouldn’t necessarily meet on a regular basis. This has become an annual event in the Bodyke Tuamgraney Parish calendar and, judging by the large attendance this year, should continue well into the future. Below are some images captured by Sinéad McKee naydiemc@gmail.com during the Stations. Many thanks to Sinéad to whom we are very grateful for sharing her photos with us.
