Dawn Mass at Two Mile Gate on Easter Sunday has become an annual event in the calendars of both Bodyke-Tuamgraney and Ogonnelloe Parishes and this Easter Sunday the congregation appeared to be larger than ever. A conservative estimate of those in attendance would be 250 men, women and children, with many coming from parishes other than the aforementioned. As always Fr. Donagh ensured that it was a very special and uplifting occasion, speaking of the importance of ‘light’ in our lives. At the end of Mass he thanked Jim and the Ogonnelloe Choir, and the Grogans & Seamus Bugler for providing the excellent singing and music, and everyone else who helped in any way to make the occasion so successful. It truly was a wonderful start to Easter Sunday which turned out to be a gloriously sunny spring day. With God’s help we will all be present once again at the Dawn Mass next Easter as it is an experience not to be missed.
